The Value of Journaling
What is the number one complaint my clients have in discovering their purpose? It’s hearing direction from God.
Read it when you get a chance: 1 Kings 19:11-13…
What will you hear when you let the noise pass and get quiet?
Journaling is an important part of my coaching program. Journaling allows clients to get away from the background noise and distractions of life and just get quiet. It allows clients to capture the rawness of their innermost thoughts and feelings without trying to justify them or be judged by them. It allows clarity and provides clients the opportunity to process thoughts and emotions and reflect on them. And, most importantly, journaling allows clients to listen to their spirit.
In reading 1 Kings 19:11-12, it wasn’t in the strong wind, the earthquake, or the fire that the Lord spoke to His prophet. But it was after that noise and then came the stillness. Journaling came open up that same stillness for clarity, direction, and focus.
